Our charming holiday home boasts six spacious bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom, Bluetooth speaker, wardrobe, and exquisite king-size mattress, to ensure that you have the best night's sleep. Each bed is dressed with the perfect combination of imported down and feather pillows, duvets for temperature regulation, and high thread count cotton bed coverings for extra comfort. There are six rooms, of which four have king beds, and two can either be made up as kings or twin beds. There is a further bunk bed in the Master Bedroom and a double sofa bed in the Ante Room by the Master, which can be made up on request. The ground-floor room (Sixth Bedroom) is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible wet room.

We aim to make our guests feel at home and have taken care to add both necessities and also the small things we often need while on holiday. Guests have the option for outdoor dining, either on the deck in the garden or in the courtyard where an evening dinner will be lit up by fairy lights. The hot tub fits 8 people at a time and is definitely a guest favourite. The large garden provides plenty of space for kids to play and is well-suited for outdoor activities.
Following our recent renovation in June 2023, The Old Chequers has been transformed to exceed the highest standards of luxury and comfort.

Activities near South Creake
South Creake is a quaint and family-friendly village with a pretty village green through which the River Burn runs. The local gastropub, The Ostrich Inn, is just down the road from The Old Chequers. From the beautiful beaches of the North Norfolk Coast to the quaint towns, this area of the UK has a lot to offer. Popular towns like Burnham Market and Wells-Next-The-Sea, with their array of shops, restaurants and pubs, make for a great day out. Take a peaceful walk along the coastal path, or relax on one of the many beautiful beaches. There are also plenty of opportunities for bird watching, with a wide variety of species to be spotted. For those looking for a more historical experience, the area around South Creake and Fakenham has plenty to offer. The Creake Abbey Ruins, a 13th century church, is situated just a few miles away and is well worth a visit. Other historical sites in the area include Holkham Hall, with its stunning landscape, shops, roaming wildlife, and picnic spots.
